Patti's Love Life

Her tumultuous love life was enough that it definitely deserves its own post.  It started back in Beverschidt Falls with her very first boyfriend and high school sweetheart.  The two had been practically inseparable since kindergarten so no one was surprised when their friendship turned into love.  This relationship had such an impact on Patti that she even wrote a song about it.  While many have speculated about the meaning behind "Make A Wish", Patti said in an interview during her Beautiful Mistakes tour that it was about her first love.  Though their romance dwindled shortly before Patti left Oregon, the two stayed in touch over the years.  He even gave the eulogy at her memorial service.

Then Patti moved to LA.  While waitressing at Club Whisper, she started dating the weekend bartender, Tony Cosmopolitan.  They were together for over a year and Tony even proposed, but Patti's quick rise to stardom would end the relationship.  In a later interview, Tony said that he couldn't watch her kill herself with drugs and drinking, though it's rumored that it was actually her success that drove him away.

Only six short months after the official break up, Patti found herself in Las Vegas and married to her  body guard Frank Magnum.  The tabloids said that she was both drunk and high and that she was tricked into the marriage.  Two days later, she walked into the hotel to find her new husband in bed with a show girl.  Rather than get angry, Patti joined them.  The two divorced a week later stating irreconcilable differences.  It's rumored that at one point she had a brief affair with Joan Jett.  During her stint in rehab, Patti realized she could finally be her true self.  The day of her release, she gathered a press conference to make the announcement that she was, in fact, a lesbian.

"I always knew.  Growing up in a small town in Oregon, the daughter of a Baptist minister, I had to hide it.  I guess I pushed it down for so long that I forgot who I was.  I'm not hiding anymore."

She had a few brief affairs after that, though nothing really lasted.  That was, until, she met  Tammi Sugarshack.  The relationship looked promising and the two had been together for three months at the time of Patti's disappearance.  Tammi has always held out hope that Patti is still alive somewhere, even tattoing the star's name on her left ring finger.  "My heart will always belong to Patti."
